can't open existing appointment or create new one

All of a sudden this morning I can’t create new appointments or open existing
ones. I’m using Outlook 2003 on a stand alone machine.

I don’t think I’ve made any changes to any settings recently. I have no idea
why all of a sudden this is happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
