Can't open an exel file (Office 2000) that I created last
week. Message is -- file format not valid. This is the
only version of Exel I have on my machine. Worked fine
when I created it. All my other exel files open with no
problem. Any advice out there?

Jim,

Could anyone have opened that file with Word, then saved it? It'd still
have the xls extension, but would be trashed from a workbook file
standpoint. Outrageous, I know, and many have wept.
