Can't offer remote Assistance

Guest

Hi,

I configured a GPO to enable remote assistance and allow domain admins to
offer assistance. The problem I am having is when trying to offer an
assistance it's connecting to a remote PC, but when i click on start remote
assistance I get a pop up which says "A program could not start. Please try
Again". I even configured the Help and support services to run atomatically
via GPO. there are no errors reported in the event log. Any idea what am I
doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

Ignor,

Does this help?

If the Solicited Remote Assistance policy is disabled, you cannot offer
assistance to a Novice computer:

Then I'll have to reproduce the steps in my home network. May I know which
method you're using to remote into the other computer? (invitation file, or
Windows Messenger?)

Igor,

Look at this KB:555385, it applies to the problem. However, I'm wondering
when Microsoft started thinking that an OU structure should be based on this
problem, and no longer the small things, like location.
