Can't map network drive

Cant map network drive. errors are:

"system error 58 has occurred"

and

"The specified server cannot perform the requested operation"

and

"\\COMPUTER is not accessible"

I can PING the computer. The Computer is XP. My computer is XP and all
other parts of networking work. (I am posting this from it.)

Funny thing, we have some Win98 computers that can map the computer in
question, and I can only map those 98 machines via "net use".

So I can use "net view" on all 98 machines but not the XP. All the 98
machines can view the XP machine.

Do I need to focus on the XP machine I am trying to map or the one I am
using to map with? Both XP's have File Sharing. In fact, the 98
machines can browse BOTH XP machines!

A error 53 would be "name not found". I can't find anything about an error 58.

If you have Windows XP and Windows 98 computers on the same LAN, you probably
have a browser conflict.
