My J:\photos dir. has MANY sub-dirs. within it, and I can't seem to get the
thumbnail setting to hold.
Properties for j:\photos holds the promise of making my chioce of view -
sub-directory wide but, it never holds. i.e. when I open a folder it's gone
back to "Details" type file listing.
I've tried all sorts. I only want thumbnails display throughout this one
directory structure. I prefer "Details" type file listing throughout the
rest of my drives.
I've lost count of the times I've gone and fiddled and tweaked in Windows
Explorer | Tools | Folder Options | View ....and Advanced. e.g. I've got
"remember each folder's view setting" ticked ...I do have "Do not cache
thumbnails" ticked but, I'm sure I unchecked that ages ago, and had a major
tweak, and it didn't make any difference.
Is there a secret to getting a single "view" setting for a single root
directory, and all it sub-dirs. and for that setting to hold ?
regards, Richard
