Can't join domain controller

Asad

Hi,

I have setup my network as follows:

Cable Modem -> Linksys BEFSR41 4 port router
BEFSR41 -> Server1 (DC), Server2, Wireless Router

BEFSR41 has ip address 192.168.1.1 and has DHCP on with range
192.168.1.100-119

Server1 is a domain controller and has ip address 192.168.1.50 and a
FQDN of ws01.foo.dyndns.org Also I didn't do any DHCP stuff on the
domain controller so its whatever is their by default after
installation.

Server2 has ip address 192.168.1.60 and is called exchange01

Now, Server2 can ping 192.168.1.50 as well as "ws01". However it can
not ping "ws01.foo.dyndns.org" nor can it join the domain
"foo.dyndns.org".

What should I do?

BTW, foo.dyndns.org is a domain that I have registered with
dyndns.org.

Make sure your DHCP clients are looking to your DC (where DNS should be
loaded) for resolution.
