Can't install printer

I have a Dell Dimension 8250 computer running Windows XP-
Home Editon and a Lexmark X85 printer and when I try to
install (re-install because I had been using these
together for a year) the printer driver, I get the
message "There are no valid INF files for this operating
system. Unable to continue installation." I have tried
doing everything that Dell and Lexmark told me to do
including downloading the latest unintall and install
drivers and always get the same message. Can anyone help
me?

Try Bruce Sanderson's solution to 'blitz' all printer drivers for the
x85.... and pay particular attention to his last paragraph on Lexmarks...
they can be a bit awkward to completely uninstall.
