I'm switching over from XP, and copied all of the .dbx files from my wife's
and my user accounts into another drive. When I started up Vista and loaded
Windows Mail I was easily able to import my .dbx files and recovered all
messages, but my wife's files don't work.
I keep getting the message: " No messages can be found in this folder or
another application is running that has the required files open. Please
select another folder or try closing applications that may have files open."
I'm not running any other applications and have tried copying the files from
one folder into another and trying from there (including the Documents
folder) with the same result.
Now if I load the Live Mail Desktop it imports them just fine, but combines
them all into one folder instead of keeping the folder structure that existed.
Any ideas? I could really use the help. There are hotmail messages in my
..dbx files but would that be a problem?
