Can't Get Rid Of Duplicate Quick Start Bar

T

Terry Smythe

I just did a fresh install of Win2000, upgraded it to SP3, and to my
surprise, I've ended up with 2 Quick Star bars. They are tied together.
If I delete something from one, it's deleted from both. Can't seem to find
how to delete the extra one without disturbing the one I want to keep.
Anybody know how I can get rid of this duplicate Quick Start bar?

What happens if you logon as a new user? (create a new account in 'User and

No change. Same pair of Quick Start bars appear regardless if I'm in Normal
or Safe mode, or another user.

Right-click the shortcut and looking on the 'General' tab post what follows
the 'Location:' for one of each.
