Can't get pictures

I can't get some pictures with Internet Explorer 6.0. For
example with hotmail, obsurf.com, therocksandiego.org,
none of these websites have pictures, only white screens
with rectangles and squares with red x's in them. I've
also been getting a message from Microsoft Internet
Explorer saying that there is an error and to restart IE.
It asks if I want to send the error report, or don't
send. When I click send error report it says that I must
be connected to the internet, which I already am. Please
help and send a reply to ijeffress(removethis)@hotmail.com

I also have the same problem.

I found that by going to "views" - "encoding" - then
changing the "Western European (Windows)" to "Western
European (ISO)" or vice versa the thunbnails will
correctly display. This is not a permanent solution,
however. You have to do it everytime you access a problem
page.

I would like to find a permanent solution.
