Can't get into safe mode

I recently installed Vista Enterprise as an upgrade over XP Pro. I have been
trying to boot into safe mode, but can't. I've searched the forums and F8
appears to still be the button to push during bootup to get the boot options
menu, but it's not working for me. (Note: it did work under XP.) I have
also tried F12 and F2, as those keys have worked for various computers
running XP - no luck here. I turn on the computer and immediately begin
pressing F8, approximately once a second. I've also tried pressing it only
once and pressing and holding it down during the boot sequence.

Is this a general problem? Am I doing something wrong here? I really need
to be able to get into safe mode, as I'm having problems uninstalling certain
programs.

Hello,

F8 should work.

Are you using a USB keyboard? If so, you might try plugging in a PS2
keyboard and trying it with that.
