Can't find PST file using Windows Explorer

Kurt

I want to back up my PST file using the backup utility in Windows XP. In
Outlook 2007, I can find the file location for my PST file. But when
navigating to the indicated folder, Windows explorer doesn't show the file;
even when I have selected to View Hidden Files. If I use Search in Windows
XP, it finds the file in the correct location. How can I get the file to show
up in Windows Explorer when navigating to that folder?

You should not use Windows backup for Outlook. Download and use Outlook
Backup that is available at the Office Downloads web site. It is automated
and places the Backup option on the File menu in OL.

Enable viewing hidden files and folders. In Windows Explorer, click
Tools>Folder Options>View. Select the radio button labeled "Show hidden
files and folders". I usually uncheck "Hide extensions to known file types"
as well.
