Can't find first user!

I had only one user on my computer (Administrator) and to fix a problem with
an overfull index.dat file (web pages not loading and saying can not be
displayed) in Internet Explorer. It said to go into another account to fix.
So I created a second account (Fixer) and tried to fix the problem (couldn't)
But now my first user account with all my pictures and work has dissapeared
and doesn't show up at log in. I went into the system and I can find it
listed, but I can't access it (permission denied). I already made sure that
Administrator has permission to log on in the computer Managment-System
tools-Local Users & Groups-User area. Both Fixer and Administrator are listed
as administrators. How can I get my original user name back? Please HELP!

Once you create an additional user account, the built in Administrator account is hidden. This account should not be used for day to day operations, it should only be used in emergencies, or when absolutely necessary to perform system maintenance tasks.

For XP Pro: Press CTRL-ALT-DEL twice at the Welcome Screen, with no other users logged on. You'll get the older logon dialog. Enter Administrator and any password that you have set for that account.

To enable the Administrator account on the new Windows XP logon screen in Windows XP Pro, visit my web site, www.dougknox.com and go to the Windows XP Utilities section. Follow the link for Enable Administrator Account ......

This small VB application will make the registry change necessary for the Administrator account to be available on the Welcome Screen. If you prefer to do it manually, click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList\

Note: There is a space between Windows and NT in the above Key.

Add the Administrator account if necessary and/or change the Administrator value to 1

For XP Home, you can only log into the built in Administrator account in Safe Mode, so the fixes above will be of little use.

You were running under the built-in Administrator account - a bad idea -
and as soon as the new account was created, the built-in Administrator
account was hidden. This is standard behavior. The files are still
there. Create a new personal account for yourself and copy the
Administrator account/settings over to it. You will need to log into
the new account once before doing any copying.

Copy a User Account -

Since you still have the "Fixer" account, log into that one to do the
copying.
