i'm not a nerd, i actually don't know how to upgrade bios
but suspect this may be the case, pls advise on this:

i'm trying to install win2000 on older machines. using
windows 2000 CD don't work though i've set my bios
priority to CD-ROM/floppy/hard disk.

i made 4 floppies from win2000 CD (info from web) and try
to boot from there. after the 4th disk, it says it
cannot find the ender user agreement, setup will not
continue.

anybody can help pls? thanks.

IIRC, the EULA is in the Windows 2000 cdrom. Is the cdrom drive working
properly? If it is a SCSI cdrom drive, then the SCSI host adapter drivers need
to be installed before the 4th disk...F6 key needed right after the start of the
first floppy. But installing Windows 2000 is much simpler if the computer boots
off the (ATAPI-IDE) cdrom drive.

thanks. the CD-ROM drive isn't a SCSI.
what's more weird, after days of leaving the machine
idle, when I try to insert disk 1 to boot (before i can
even hit the F6 key as advised) again it says,
"BOOT: I/O error reading disk. Please insert another disk"
any advice? much thanks,

krist
