Can't find download link for MM 2.1

Hello, I like to manually do the updates on my XP Pro machine to avoid
processor usage for such during my DVD projects. I use to use Windows Movie
Maker 2 but lost it in my last system re-install. I have been searching but
can't find the download link on Microsoft.com. I don't want to use Automatic
Updates but instead, I just want to download this one program if I can find
it.

======================================
Movie Maker 2.1 was included in Win XP SP2...
there is not a separate download for it.

Chances are you have 2.1 on your system now...
try going to...Start / Run and type:
moviemk.exe
and press enter. if you have Movie Maker this
will launch it. If it launches...go to...Help / About
to see the version number.

It's included in the operating system... see my website's Setup Movie Maker
MM2.1 page. It has info about where the files are and how to reinstall it
from them.

What nasty people wrote this software ;-) But THANK YOU for the hint on
locating it. I have it installed and believe it or not, I spent a long time
looking for it. I thought the SP3 download might have deleted or overwritten
it or something because I have no shortcuts for it. But now that I know it
exists on my system, I just have to build a shortcut to it.

Again, THANK YOU so very much

You're welcome.

Thanks for the update.

You'll find the executable here:

C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\moviemk.exe

To create a shortcut...right click moviemk.exe
and from the menu...choose...send to / desktop (create shortcut)
