Can't do System Restore

It appears that some of my Vista Home Premium files are corrupted. I can't
do System Restore.
When I try it recommended restore point Vista returns this error message:
The recourse loader failed to find MUI file (0x800BAFC).
When I try different restore point Vista returns this error message:
The resource loader cache doesn't have loaded MUI entry (0x80073B0I)
Please help.
