Hopefully someone can help me. Let me say at the start I'm not a web
designer. From ten sessions in my local CGHE I'v managed to put one
together but boy is it giving me headaches.
OK some details, I run a small site for a group of creative writers, we
try to make the site break even by using adsense. My page design is
based upon the Skidoo three coloumn layout. It is all set up and
maintained by Dreamweaver mx.
I would like to place Googles 728 by 90 leaderboard at the top of some
of my pages. The process itself is simple enough - cut and paste. When
I view in Firefox everything is fine, the ad displays great.
When I check the results in IE6 they're weird. The leaderboard pertruds
into the right coloumn and as a result pushes itself way down to the
bottom of the page below an amazon text box. I've placed an example of
the offending page online at
http://www.abcwritersnetwork.co.uk/testpage2.html, I've used colours
that clash just to demonstrate.
It seems to me that the typeface in Internet Explorer displays larger
than the typeface in Firefox.
I really would appreciate it if someone would have a look at the above
page and make a few suggestions. Somewhere along the line I heard
something remotly about checking my DIV tags but it was double Dutch to
me.
Thanks for any help
