Cant' delete views in BCM

Hi. I am trying to customize the list of views that appears on the
left navigation pane in Outlook 2003 w/ BCM when I am in Contacts.
When I go to View->Arrange By->Current View->Define Views and delete
some of the default views (i.e. [By Category]), they just reappear when
I open Outlook again!

How do I make my changes stick?

I imagine that BCM is recreating the views that it thinks are necessary to
the application's operation.
