Can't create network connection

I use a cable modem to connect to the internet through Comcast. I don't use
PPPoe to connect to the internet. There is no username and password to
access my connection. I just use "Automatic Configuration - DHCP".

Vista doesn't allow me to select this option in order to connect to the net.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I have a setup much like yours, you basically have an always on connection.
Vista needs to load a driver for your hardware (NIC) sounds like it maybe
failing to load/find a driver for your hardware. I didn't need to do
anything other than that to connect.

So I'm a little embarasse by this, but I think the first thing I neede to
start with was making sure my ethernet cable was plugged into the back of my
CPU.

I did that and it worked. Thanks.
