Can't copy or move files

Hi All!

I'm the only one that uses this computer so by default I'm
also the administrator.

I cannot copy or move files from my cookies directory:

C:\Documents and settings\<ME>\Cookies

I can delete files in that dir. I can copy/move files into
that dir. But I can't copy/move any file from that dir.

When I try, I get this message:

"Your current security settings do not allow you to
download files from this location"

As the only user/administrator, I've never made any
security settings like this. Where do I look for these
settings? I can't find anything to do this.

This is the only dir that seems to be set like this.
(although I haven't tried EVERY one)

Any ideas? Might this be a setting made by anti-spyware? I
do use NIS/NAV, SSD1.3, and SB3.1

Baffled!

Try this:

Go to the Control Panel (Classic View), go to Internet
Options and try to remove Cookies from the General tab.
The button says Delete Cookies . . .

Good Luck !

Thanks for the reply.

I can delete cookies no problem. I want to know *WHY* I
can't copy or move *ANY* file in that directory?

Not sure, I just moved a few of mine to a TMP folder, no
problem (from the command prompt). . . how are the
attributes set on the files ?

Good Luck !

No attributes are set. They are just plain *.txt files
(cookies), except for the index.dat file.

Here's a screencap of the message I get when I try to move
or copy *ANY* file from that directory:

As I said, I can copy/move files into this dir and I can
delete files in this dir. I just can't copy/move *ANY*
file *FROM* this dir.

I'm baffled!

Thanks for you interest!
