can't click on hypertext link in Outlook, system hangs up

when i click on a hypertext address (URL) my system hangs up. Any ideas?

No-one can easily answer your vague question... version of Outlook?,
operating system?, what is the *exact* error message ("my system hangs
up" is just meaningless), what browser and what version?

If you are referring to being unable to open hyperlinks in emails and
you run IE 7 or 8 - your question gets answered in this newsgroup on
pretty much a daily basis. Have a look around :)

I have the problem you mention. I get an error message that says"Windows
cannot find......" Make sure you typed the name correctly, and the try
again." I've gone trhough several of the 688 pages of Outlook questions and
haven't seen anything related to this. This started after I downloaded IE-8.
Any ideas/suggestions, anyone!!???

When you post an error message, do NOT truncate it or paraphrase it. In clude
the complete exact text of the message. The only exception to this would be
if the message contains personal information, like a mail address. In that
case change only the mail address. Leave the rest intact.
