can't change startpage

I cannot get a porn page to go away when I open up my browser. When I click
on "use blank" in the tools/options, it doesn't do any good. I've ran an
updated virus scan and spybot but it hasn't helped. I've deleted files from
the registry that list the page that comes up, but after rebooting, they
come back. Any ideas? Thanks.

It is possible you may have parasites, spyware, adware or
malware on your system causing the problem. Download,
install, update the programs to be sure they have the latest
definitions, then run the programs below. They are free and
very effective.Be sure to run both SpyBot and Adaware, as
what one does not detect the other may. It is important that
you follow all directions carefully:

SpyBot Search & Destroy: Free

or

AdAware: Free

or

CWShredder: Free

What did spybot find when you ran it? This may sound
stupid, but did you click the "fix the problem" button
after you ran spybot? The other thing that is usually
necessary is to restart the computer right after you run
spybot, or else it may not work. You might also want to
run Ad-Aware, available at www.downloads.com. I've had
the same problems you are speaking of and I had to run
both Ad-Aware and Spybot to fix the problem. Good Luck.
