Can't boot x64 DVD

I've burned this x64 vista ISO using Nero and CDBurn.exe and it won't boot.
The wierd part is it's not giving me any errors. It burns just fine (2x or
4x) but when I reboot the computer with the DVD in the drive (yes, boot from
CD is enabled) it just hangs when it tries to boot off the DVD. It's not
completely frozen, ctrl-alt-del still works, but nothing else. I let it sit
there for about 5 minutes or so and nothing happens.

Any suggestions? Do I have a bad ISO? Or does this sound more like a problem
with my BIOS/MB/hardware?

Thanks!

sounds like a bad iso

i downloaded the public beta 2 x64 & x86 editions and was able to burn at
x16 with nero 6.

When booting from a Windows install CD\DVD, and the boot fails, it means
there is a hardware\ configuration issue.
a BAD cd would be considered a faulty peice of hardware.
a good burn of a Bad ISO would be considered a bad CD.

....just my opinion

good luck.

I had the same problem. Then tried the disc in another DVD-ROM drive and it
booted fine. Exactly the same problem and same answer with the 32-bit DVD.

Problem is now I can't get it to install. Seems to load all the installation
apps then hangs on a different blank screen.

I am having the same issue... Only problem is, I am installing on a laptop,
and dont have any way to install off another DVD drive... The DVD will boot
on other laptops (friends x86, showed the 32-Bit error screen after load) but
will hang on blank screen. Can use Ctrl-Alt-Del, but will not go past this
stage... I was able to install an earlier version of the beta, but the disk
became scratched, and I got an official release, though it seems to have more
issuse than the pirated copy...

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

It was an earlier version of the beta, pulled off a torrenting tracker, with
a generic key and activated by calling microsoft xp support.

Regardless, After posting, I again initiated the install, then put my
brother down for a nap. When we got up, the installation screen was up, so I
proceeded with install. As soon as I had entered my (valid) product key, a
window popped up stating "Setup failed to open the windows image file"

This is the second time I have downloaded the ISO, fifth or sixth time
burning it, on different discs, and I am still getting the same problem...

Any assistance would be a great help!

Use the slowest burn speed available. MS reports that more than three
fourths of problems with dvd's is due to burning to fast.
