Can't Back up OE Address Book

For the past 5 years or so I have been backing up my
address book by exporting the .wab file to a floppy.
Today the export as well as import functions are "grayed
out". From OE I can export the data as 'comma delinieated
files' but it is much better as a .wab file. How do I do
this? What has happened to the export feature? I
recently activated Outlook, was not happy with all of its
additional features and have migrated back to Outlet
Express.

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book

Sounds like when you "activated" outlook, you (or outlook) opted to use the contacts folder as the address book.

excellent. It is scary everytime I go into my Registry,
but it worked like a charm. I have my "export" function
