Outlook Can't add @ sign to Outlook address book

Hello, has anyone experienced difficulties entering a new address to Outlook and can't insert the @ sign. It keeps coming up as " but works fine everywhere else on computer. Grateful for any advice offered.

Goto Control Panel and to Regional and language settings and change you r settings in there...

Could not add @ in Outlook address book, key would only put "
Have discovered answer. Keys are reversed.
If I press " over the '2', it comes out as @ in the Outlook address book

That's because Microsoft is American, they do not really understand the "World" concept so default setup is American language ... that's another misconception ... there is no such language as American English.

Short answer, change the OS language setting.

Its not a matter of trying, this is the only way you'll change it...
