Can't access Outlook Express for email?

M

Marcie

My default for email is Outlook Express. I use to be able
to access my email by clicking on the envelope icon on
the tool bar and click "read mail". Now, the only way I
can access my email is to go to "start", "programs" and
then click "outlook express".

Why doesn't my little envelope icon work any more? It was
so much easier. The icon is there but when I click,
nothing happens. Thanks for any help. I'm a novice.

Go to Internet Options and click on the Programs tab and see what your
default E-Mail client is.

Hey Marcie,

Here's an idea: Go to the Start Menu location of the Icon
and click + drag it down to the taskbar next to another
icon. Make sure that there is a little '|' where you are
holding it then let go. This will put the same thing
thats in the Start Menu onto the taskbar so you can
access it the same way you did the other one. And, if
you want to get rid of the other icon, right-click the
envelope and click delete.

You can also right click on the OE envelope icon and choose properties and
then choose find target. Target being outlook express program itself. and re
link it.
