can't access files from my old user account in Win XP

i am currently using Windows XP professional. i have
problems accessing my personal files which is in my old
user account. i have already deleted that user account,
so when i try to access those files in the "Documents and
Settings" folder, i got a "Access Denied" error message.
is there anyway to retrieve back my files?

You need to take ownership of those folders and access it. See:
