Canon ZR500

I open Movie Maker. I have my Canon ZR500 connected by DV to USB...I think it
should be able to do that as long as it's a 2.0 USB port. My computer detects
that something is connected to the USB, but the device seems to be unknown.
When I open Movie Maker it only detects my webcam. Help, please.

You need to connect using firewire (dv/ieee1394) You are using USB, not dv
to usb.
It doesn't matter if it is USB2, MM does not work with that connection.
Maybe the software supplied will if you don't have a firewire connection.
