canon bjc-5100 - unable to write data to the printer

T

Tom Martens

A few weeks ago my laptop (win98) gave me the following error:
"unable to write data to the printer. Please check that your printer is
ready (the green light should stay on) and that the cables are securely
connected. Aborting print job."
When I connected the printer back to my other pc (XP) the same problem
occured. I have already reinstalled everything numerous times with the
result that the printer works whenever he feels like it.
It seems that sometimes my pc doesn't find my printer.

Can anyone help me with this problem??

Have you tried another Parallel cable? Failing that your printer may be
on the way out.
