Cannot view Secure websites

[JD]

I am not sure what has caused it but I cannot view secure
websites or update Windows via Windows Update. I have
looked at other entries in the discussion group and tried
everything but nothing seems to work. My computer is
completely virus and spyware / adware free and I have
checked all Internet Security options which would prevent
me from viewing secure sites but still no answer. Also
checked I have the correct time / time zone. Help me!!
