Cannot View Folder Properties

I recently lost the ability to view the properties of any
folder on my laptop (Pent 4/Win XP). I tried networking
my laptop to my old Pentium 1 computer that is running
Windows 95. I was trying to share files between the
computers when it locked up on me. Now I cannot view any
folders' properties nor can I change the share option.
The options show up when I right click on a folder, but
when I select properties or share nothing happens. Is
there a component I can reinstall that would fix this?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have Internet Information Services installed on the XP machine? If
so, remove and reinstall IIS.
