Cannot Upload via http to Web Site with Vista

With Windows XP Home Edition SP2, I am able to set up a shortcut in My
Network Places and upload files via http to my Web site. In XP, I am able to
enter http://srsd.net/teachers/dfeinstein as the Internet/network address. I
am then prompted for my username and password. I can then successfully
transfer files to and from my computer and Web site.

However, when using the "Add Network Location" wizard in Windows Vista Home
Premium Edition (accessed by opening Computer, right-clicking on the
background of the window, and then choosing "Add a Network Location"), I am
unable to access the files and folders on the Web site. After entering the
Internet/network address of http://srsd.net/teachers/dfeinstein, a window
opens stating that "This folder is empty." I am NOT prompted to enter my
username and password.

Any help using http upload with Vista is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

Windows XP had two built-in redirectors (WebDAV and FP Client). Vista only
has the WebDAV redirector.

You need to work out what technology is being used on the server to be able
to work out whether the Vista WebDAV redirectory will work.

Cheers

Ken,

I will need to ask the server administrator, but I believe FrontPage is
being used on the server and not WebDAV. Is there any way to install the FP
Client redirector under Vista without installing Microsoft FrontPage?
