Cannot Upgrade from WINXP Pro

Hi tried to install Beta2 to upgrade my WINXP Pro SP2 and I get the message
that the upgrade feature has been disable. My only option is to do a clean
install. From all that I read, I should have been able to do an upgrade. Any
assistance would be greatly appreciated.

1) If you are trying to install 64-bit Vista, it will only do a clean
install.
2) If you want to upgrade to 32-bit Vista, run the Setup program from within
XP. Only way.

P.S. This is BETA software. Do NOT upgrade your primary machine.

To upgrade you have to run the DVD from Windows. If you boot from the DVD
you will only get the clean install option. I did the upgrade on my XP pro
SP2 machine to test the upgrade features and to keep from having to
reinstall of the software I have on here. There is a bug in mine though
Outlook starts windows installer and acts like it is installing something
everytime I it sends and receives. If you have office 2k3 and it does that
on yours after the upgrade let me know.
