Cannot start processing services message - Outlook 2007 with BCM

Hi There. I have Outlook 2007 with BCM (part of Office 2007 Pro) running
under Vista Home Premium. One Hotmail account and 3 POP3 mail accounts. All
my mail hierarchy is under "personal folders" - my default store.
Decided as this .PST file was getting very big (over 4Gb) I should archive
most of it - so set up autoarchive etc - midway through archiving got various
out of memory messages. Now get message "Cannot start processing services.
There is not enough free memory to run this program. Quit one or more
programs and then try again".
Only way to clear this problem is to remove the Archive.pst from the
File/Data file Management/Data Files in outlook and restart. Great - I can
now use outlook again but I have a semi-archived message store and no way to
access the messages in the archive.PST (attempting to import this file back
into my primary data store gives the same error message) as does "adding"
this file in its own right.
Surely I am not actually short on memory - 2Gb of RAM (showing on Vista
sidebar gadget as using about 60% and doesn't Vista automatically acquire and
release virtual memory by default anyway?). Not running any other
applications either.
Anyone else seen this problem or got any ideas??
Thanks
