Cannot start Microsoft Office. Cannot open the Outlook Window. Outlook 2007

Happened just now with today's latest update to IE 8 - thanks for your fix
as
it saved following the knowledge base advice (much more involved and
involving registry changes)

I'm glad it helps you. What puzzles me is why it happens because I apply the
same update as anyone and it never happens to me.

Hi Stephen:

Your information was very accurate. Thanks.

Guys as stephen said just type outlook.exe /resetnavpane and you are done.
the space is ONLY after outlook.exe but NOT before resetnavpane.

Cheers!
Ashok

Thanks for the Help.....
I have windows 7, 64 bit... the info about the space between .exe
/resetnavepane did the trick... looking at the screen with tired eyes i
didn't catch the space...
It worked !!!

Spot on. I had this error after installing N360 - well, strictly it arose
after using Norton's uninstall existing products utility. Tried restarts,
repairing MS Office. No joy.

This tip worked straight away. As soon as Outlook opened I got a dialogue
box about "a dialogue box being open" and then a dialogue box about Norton
Antispam so I suspect that caused the problem.

Anyway - sorted now - so thanks!

Awesome!!! Installed the free Norton360 fro Comcast and have been using the
online version for email for 4 long weeks! HATE IT!!! This tip really
worked in seconds! Deleted Norton and went back to ZoneAlarm!

Thanks!
