Cannot see email headers in Windows Mail

Just bought a brand-new Dell, with Vista. Imported old emails and email
folders from Outlook Express 6; worked perfectly (messages appeared in an
"Imported Folders" heading). I then successfully moved messages from this
Imported Folder to my Local Folder (messages from the Inbox in the Imported
Folder were moved to the Inbox in the Local Folder, e.g.). Everything worked
fine.

I then sent out a test email message, to myself. At first the message just
sat in my Outbox and would not send, but after a few minutes it sent. It
immediately showed up in my Inbox (Local Folder). Thinking everything was
fine, I shut down the program.

The next time I tried to start Windows Mail, however, it hung for a few
moments, and I got a "Not responding" error in the title bar. I shut the
program down, and tried to run it again. It's running, but ...

.... I cannot see any email headers in any of my folders.

When I click on "Local Folders", I get a detailed listing of how many
messages are in each folder. But I cannot see any of them. And I cannot
send or receive email anymore, either.

I'm using McAfee, which does seem to be an issue.

However, when I cleared out the folders in Windows Mail and tried the
program again ... and only imported a handful of the old emails, it seems to
be working fine, and has been for the last couple of days. So I'm thinking
the problem was something corrupted in the old emails.

Thanx,

And if you keep using McAfee, your emails will get corrupted again.

A lot of people are posting here that uninstalling McAfee helps fix problems
a lot.
