Cannot reinstall Corel Draw 12

Sherry Frazier

I keep getting the following error message when trying to reinstall Corel
Draw 12, other programs install just fine. I don't understand why it won't
let me reinstall Corel Draw 12.

The following message pops up:

This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists
and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that
this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.

HELP!!

Thanks

Hi

Maybe it is not completely removed from your Windows XP system before
installing it and it seems to think your Corel Draw 12 Installer package is
not valid.

Did you try to uninstall Corel Draw 12 first using the Add/Remove programs
in Control Panel before reinstalling it? The uninstaller program in
Add/Remove programs will automatically remove Corel Draw 12 completely from
your Windows XP computer system. Next Click Start Menu and Click on My
Computer
then click on Local Disk (C:) or what ever the Local Disk drive is and look
for Program Files folder, click on Program Files folder to show all the
contents of Program Files. In Program Files folder, look for Corel Draw 12
folder or the name of the company that created this program; click on the
company that created this program and look for Corel Draw 12 folder. Once you
located the Corel Draw 12 folder, click on it and press the Shift + Delete
keys together at the same time and release them. Click Yes you want to
Confirm deletion of the Corel Draw 12 folder and other contents in the Corel
Draw 12 folder. Try to reinstall it now and it should not give you any error
messages.

Hope this helps you.
