I use Windows version 5 sp3. Upon receiving this notification "click this
link to continue receiving notifications for this thread" to a question I
asked clicking on the URL produces only a white page in Internet Explorer 7.
What to do? :)

You use Windows 2000? Why are you not completely up to date (latest Service
Pack) then?
Or did you make a mistake and say Windows 5 (2000) SP3 when you meant
Windows 5.1 (XP) SP3?

Stop using the horrid web interface front-end to access the newsgroups. Use
a newsreader or at least Outlook Express. Your experience will be much
better.

Do yourself a BIG favour and ditch the horrible web interface. Use a news
reader instead.

Thank you both. It solved one problem. What do I do, to find answers to
questions regarding Office 2000? So far my efforts to search in
microsoft.public. newsgroups have been in vain? I know it is not in your
category but just may-be you can point the way?
