cannot overwrite since upgrading to SP1

Hi there, since i upgraded to SP1 (Vista Home Premium) windows explorer will
freeze if i try to overwrite any file. It will not even prompt me to
overwrite. So if i cancel the procedure and instead try to delete the file i
was trying to overwrite i get the message that the file is in use and cannot
be deleted. Only if i use a 3rd party application to unlock the file which is
supposedly being used by dll.exe can i delete it. Any sugestions ? Thanks in
advance !
