Cannot open symantec's internet page

Hi, I'm having problems opening symantec's web page (which
I use to download virus definitions). The fact is that I
had to format my computer and reload all my programs and
the only page that wont open is www.symantec.com. What
could be happening, is there a special option that I'm
skipping. I'd appreciate any suggestions.
