Cannot open sites

I am unable to to access sites as hotmail and other secure
sites that require logging on. When I have searched on the
internet, it says to install a service pack because it
seems many other people have had the same problem with IE
6.0. Windows XP will not allow me to install the service
pack because it says it is uncompatible. HELP!!!

In most cases, creating a new user profile has solved the problem.

As to the SP1 installation issue, read this MSKB:
