Cannot open Outlook 2003

I updated from Office 2000 to Office 2003. All the Office programs work
except Outlook. It will not open, and gives the message "Unable to open
Outlook window. The set of folders could not be opened." Could anyone offer
advice? I've tried Inbox repair tool and "Detect and Repair" from other
Office applications.
Thanks,
Larry

Go to control panel | mail and check out whatever is in the default profile
you used to use....try creating a new profile as a test.

Try starting Outlook with a new profile created via the Mail icon in Control
Panel.
If that starts outlook you might then be able to open your old PST and copy
the items over.
