cannot open old documents after I upgraded to pro

I am in Afghan right now and am getting ready to come home and start a
business. So I wanted pro. But when I upgraded it made me create a new
login account. I could not quit the upgrade at this time b/c my computer
began to freeze after the bot screen came on. So after I finised the install
the new logon had my programs(not insalled) and my files that I did not have
in my old login's 'documents' folders. but I cannot access that folder even
though it is shown on my computer. It also says in the properties that my
old login's document folder that there is nothing in it but I have seen a
file tree come down from that document folder with all of the subfolders I
had before the upgade. Also I believe that all of my old documents are there
b/c my hard drive has about 17.7 GB of data on it.

p.s. One last thought; I had to set up a new partion when I upgraded but
when I went back and upgraded a second and third time the old partition was
not present.

forgot a import fact: When I click on the folder to open it I get the 'red X
message' that states: C:\Documents and Settings\Jeremy is not accessable.

Access is denied.

Go to Help & Support on your computer and type in Take Ownership.

Follow those directions and you should be fine.

Sounds like you did not perform an upgrade - but a parallel or clean
install.. But seeing as things are still there - parallel seems more likely.
