Cannot open jpegs OLK2000

I have a user that can't open jpegs in Outlook 2000 (SP3). Our
standard XP Pro SP1 build defaults the Microsoft fax viewer to open
jpegs. We tried reverting back to Photo editor, same problem.

Had him logon to another workstation, same problem.
Other users can open jpegs with the fax viewer, no problems.

Renamed local and server side profile, had him logon, same problem.

No idea what to try next.

Any suggestions?

If the issue is profile-based, have you tried deleting the NTuser.dat file
and having the user log back in? The profile will have to be recreated once
they log back in however, but it sounds like there's a problem in the actual
NT profile.
