Cannot Open Audio Device

I have a Soundblaster Live 5.1 Platnium installed on my
PC. When i try to use RealOne Player or anything for that
matter i get a "cannot open audio device" error. It says
it may be used by another application. I have uninstalled
and installed the updated drivers serveral times and still
the same message. Any ideas?
