cannot open an access 2000 file

I get the following message when I attempt to open an emailed access.mdb file:

"This file is located outside your intranet or on an untrusted site.
Microsoft Access will not open the file due to potential security problems.
To open the file, copy it to your machine or an accessible network location."

What doesn't make sense it that I have copies this file from the web, and it
sits in a folder in my documents. Yet, access will not open this file.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi.
Yet, access will not open this file.

If you're running Windows XP SP-2, then it's your operating system that's
blocking this file due to the Attachments Manager, not Access. Open Windows
Explorer and navigate to the file. Right-click on the file name and select
"Properties" on the pop-up menu. Select the "Unblock" button on the lower
right of the Properties dialog window to unblock the file, then select the
"OK" button to save the change. Now try to open the file.
