Cannot login to Windows XP Home

Jero

PC loads to welcome screen. I click on User to login, it
says "Loading Your Personal Settings", the desktop shows
for 1/2 a second, then it says "Logging Off" and will go
straight back to the Welcome login screen.
I cannot get in through Safe Mode either, cannot get in
through Administrator account. I have tried loading Last
Known Good Configuration, but none of thse work.
I have come across a hotfix on the Microsoft website
published under http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=313322
but i cannot use it as i cannot login.
The only other option i have left is to format, but i
really don't wanna.

Can someone please help me!

Have you made a Password rest disk?

Also, can you try geting into to safe mode with command
prompt?

no i don't have a password setup on this pc.

Is there another way around rather than doing a
reinstall??

Hi

If you can't use Last Known Good Configuration or Safe Mode to try a System
Restore, you will have to look towards a 'Repair' install. Unfortunately
you will have to re-download/re-install the Windows Updates:
