cannot login - no user shown since TweakUI

Hello,

I have a big(?) problem: After starting WinXP Home
Edition with SP2, I get the Welcome screen with the
advise to choose my username to login. But there is no
username shown. Just a blank area at the right side!!!

History: Before, there was just the welcome screen after
booting which turned immediately into the desktop. No
login, no username. Only after waking up from standby-
mode, I had to click on my username (without entering any
pw) to get the desktop back. This bothered me, so I tried
to set it like the booting process (no login, no
username, as written above). I found the entry "Show xxx
on Welcome screen" at TweakUI and unchecked it. I thought
that no user for a Welcome screen would mean no Welcome
screen at all. But that was wrong! Now I have no user but
a Welcome screen with login!

Any ideas to get it running again?

Thanks,

JOCHEN

Reboot into Safe Mode (PF8 during boot).
Log on as "Administrator".
Run TweakUI and check the username you want to show on the Welcome screen.

Boot into safe mode and undo what you did. Adjust your resume behaviour in Power Options in Control Panel (and screensaver in Display if you use one of them)
