cannot hear sound on any clip

Hi

I cannot hear the audio on any clip that I download
(download or streaming) from the internet, either audio or
video, but can hear the sound fine if I play a CD. How can
I fix it? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Click (or double click) the speaker icon to open audio and make sure you
don't have it muted or turned down. Look at the balances for everything,
especially wave out slider.
