Cannot get rid of search toolbar

I have IE6 running on XP Home.

I recently started getting a Search Toolbar in IE.

I can turn it off (right click on menu bar, and unselect the search
toolbar). But it reappears whenever I open a new IE window.

How do I get rid of this Search Toolbar permanently?

Go to your add remove programs and find search toolbar and remove it.

Start/Run/Msconfig/Startup - uncheck it.

Clear Disabled Items from Msconfig Startup (Line 148)
